Rio de Janeiro, Oct 06: A Brazilian political leader and three others were killed in the crash of the light plane in which they were traveling, the official Agencia Brasil news agency said today. Rescuers in Parana state found the bodies of Federal Deputy Jose Carlos Martinez and three others in the wreckage of the light plane, which disappeared on Saturday while traveling from the state capital of Curitiba to Florianopolis, on Brazil's southern coast.

Martinez, 55, a business executive, was head of the right-wing Brazilian Labor Party and represented Parana in the chamber of deputies, the Lower House of Brazil's Congress. Bureau Report
