Kozhikode, July 08: Kanchi Seer Jayendra Saraswati could continue to hold talks with the All-India Muslim Personal Law Board to find a solution to the Ayodhya issue but VHP is "no more hopeful" of any solution through negotiations, its senior leader Pravin Togadia said today.
"VHP respects the Kanchi Seer and he is welcome to hold discussions with the AIMPLB (All India Muslim Personal Law Board) for a negotiated settlement for construction of Ram Temple at the disputed site, but we feel it will be in vain," he told a meet-the-press programme, organised by the press club here.

Asked if VHP would agree to any future formula adopted by the Sankaracharya on the vexed issue, Togadia said that "depends" on the approach. "However, the VHP is no more hopeful of any solution through dialogues," he said.
Although Jayendra Saraswati was respected by VHP as a religious leader, "it appeared that his decisions were also influenced by several other quarters," he said.

Stating that the Ayodhya issue could not be solved legally, the VHP international secretary said, "The majority Hindus in India want the temple to be constructed and I am afraid whether even the congress will oppose it. Communists will not support as they do not believe in god."
"We will find our own ways,” Togadia said when asked if the VHP believed that the BJP, heading the NDA government, would support its cause in the coming days.

"Our support will go to the party that supports the Hindu agenda and construction of Ram Temple," he said when asked about the VHP supporting the NDA government in the next parliamentary elections.
