Hyderabad, July 13: BSNL’s broadband offering will roll out in three cities this month to be followed by a full-fledged commercial launch in the month of August, Chairman and Managing Director Prithipal Singh said on Saturday. The three cities where the services will be introduced this month include Kolkota, Pune and Bangalore. The system has already been implemented on a pilot basis in 50 households offering voice, video and Internet content on the usual copper wire.

“We are also talking to various vendors at the same time for franchising out the services”, Singh said addressing a Conference on Convergence Technologies organised to mark the 50th Anniversary of the setting up the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers (IETE). Bureau Report
