New Delhi, Apr 22: Government will make a statement in the Lok Sabha today on the truckers` strike as members voiced serious concern over the plight of the people who had to bear additional burden of spiralling prices.

Raising the issue during zero hour, Kirit Somaiya, BJP, said the truckers had made out five demands including the issue of disposal of 15-year old trucks.
He said the Centre and the state government should sit together and resolve the issue. Speaker Manohar Joshi informed the members that the concerned minister would make a statement in the house tomorrow.
