New Delhi, Nov 18: Nationalist Congress Party's prospects have considerably improved in Chhattisgarh amid exposure of scandals involving both Chief Minister Ajit Jogi and former Union minister Dilip Singh Judeo, party general secretary Tariq Anwar said today. The electoral atmosphere had been vitiated by both the ruling Congress and the BJP and it would be better if Chief Minister Ajit Jogi took a cue from Judeo and resigned, Anwar told here. He said NCP, which was contesting all the 90 assembly seats in Chhattisgarh, was expected to win over 20.

Judeo, who was seen on camera allegedly receiving money, did the right thing by resigning from the government and now Jogi - who was also facing a CBI probe - should quit, Anwar said. "In the tussle between the ruling Congress and BJP, NCP is bound to get benefit," Anwar said.

He condemned Judeo for mentioning the name of Mahatma Gandhi while giving an interview to a TV channel about his acceptance of money and said "nobody should drag the name of the father of the nation."
