Jerusalem, May 18: Israel slapped a complete closure today on the West Bank and Gaza Strip after a spate of Palestinian attacks over the weekend, the army said in a statement. "Following the latest attacks and new alerts we have decided to impose a total closure on the territories of Judea-Samaria (the West Bank) and Gaza Strip," the statement read. "The Palestinians from the territories will not be authorised to leave or enter Israel," it said, while allowing for coordination in humanitarian cases such as a person in need of medical treatment.
