New Delhi, Sept 08: BJP will work out a new strategy in Uttar Pradesh where it expects the movement for Ram temple in Ayodhya would gain momentum in the wake of the Archaeological Survey of India report. "We have to open a new chapter in Uttar Pradesh and will decide on it at a meeting myself and (BJP General Secretary) Pramod Mahajan will have with party MPs, MLAs and district presidents on October 7 in Lucknow," BJP President M Venkaiah Naidu told a news agency during a trip to Udaipur yesterday. "The temple movement will gain momentum now because of this (ASI) report," he said.
Asked to comment on recent development in UP, Naidu said the politics in the state was at "crossroads" and BJP would decide on its future course of action after analysing the situation in the state. He said that the state was mired in the politics of "dalit card" played by Bahujan Samaj Party and the "Muslim-Yadav card" played by Samajwadi Party.

"People in Uttar Pradesh had enough of caste politics. We will go to the people with development as an agenda and nationalism in place of casteism," Naidu said. Bureau Report
