Balaji Tele Q1 net up 12%
Mumbai, July 30: Balaji Telefilms has posted a 11.59 per cent higher net profit at Rs 14.15 crore for the first quarter ending June 30, 2003, compared to Rs 12.68 crore reported in same period previous fiscal.
Mumbai, July 30: Balaji Telefilms has posted a 11.59 per cent higher net profit at Rs 14.15 crore for the first quarter ending June 30, 2003, compared to Rs 12.68 crore reported in same period previous fiscal.
Total income in the period under review has increased from Rs 39.78 crore to Rs 47.06 crore in Q1 of current fiscal, the company informed the Stock Exchange, Mumbai, on Tuesday.
Company chief executive and managing director Shobha Kapoor said, "Our efforts to de-risk and scale up the business model have started delivering results even in a tough environment. Investments in infrastructure and systems have led to substantial savings in the cost of operations, thereby further improving the company's profit margins." Bureau Report
