Lucknow, Sep 02: The Mulayam Singh government, which was sworn in Uttar Pradesh on Friday last, would present a vote on account during the budget session of the State Legislature beginning today. Addressing an all party meeting on the eve of the session, Yadav said that his government would present a vote on account and favoured a healthy and detailed debate on it. The Chief Minister said that he would seek the confidence of the House before September 11 as directed by Governor Vishnu Kant Shastri.

He sought the cooperation of all opposition parties in ensuring smooth functioning of the both houses. "All parties have a responsibility to ensure the smooth functioning of the House to ward off delays and waste of time".


Yadav said that he was aware of the problems faced by the Opposition and favoured healthy debate on all issues concerning the common man.

Leader of Opposition in the assembly Swami Prasad Maurya (BSP) assured the Chief Minister of all help from his party to help the government in the smooth conduct of the house.

The meeting, convened by Speaker Kesari Nath Tripathi, was attended among others by Congress leader Pramod Tewari, RKP's Rajbir Singh, CPI(M) 's Ram Swarup and RLD's Virendra Singh.
Later talking to reporters, Yadav said that the date for proving majority of his government would be decided today.

To a question, he said he would also be representing the government in the upper house and has informed the chairman of the Vidhan Parishad in this regard.
