Srinagar, July 26: While paying rich tributes to Kargil martyrs the Indian Army said the situation along the Line of Control could become tense again and that the soldiers were ready to make sacrifices like during the Kargil War.

"There is a possibility of the situation becoming tense along the LoC. The jawans and officers are ready to make sacrifices like that of Kargil if the situation and the nation demand so," Lt Gen G B Patankar, GOC 15th Corp said after laying a wreath at the Kargil War Memorial at Badamibagh here. The army is fully prepared to face any eventuality, he said on, celebrated every year to commemorate the 1999 Kargil War victory. Bureau Report
