Prem Sagar Azis elected Congress chief whip in J&K
Jammu, Jan 30: Prem Sagar Aziz was today elected the Congress chief whip in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, party sources said here.

A meeting of the Congress Legislature Party, presided over by state party chief Gulam Nabi Azad here, also elected Yogesh Sawheny and Haji Abdul Rasheed as its secretaries, they said here.
Aziz represents Basholi constituency in Kathua district and Sawheny and Rasheed Jammu East and Banihal respectively.
The meeting also decided to revamp the Pradesh Congress Committee, inducting six vice-presidents, six general secretaries and six secretaries, the sources said.
Besides the president and the treasurer, there are only three senior vice presidents in the party at present. Deputy chief minister Mangat Ram Sharma is the senior vice-president from Jammu, rural development minister Peer Zada Mohammad Sayeed from Kashmir and P Namgyal from Ladakh.
The district congress committee also would be revamped soon, they added.
