Jaipur, May 15: The "Parivartan Yatra" currently being undertaken by state BJP chief Vasundhara Raje in Marwar region, in the run up to the year-end assembly polls, was disturbed in Jalore and Pali towns by activists demanding job reservation for rajputs for which the BJP has blamed Congress. Activists of Samajik Nyay Manch (forum for social justice) created chaos in Raje's meeting and some protestors tried to bring down the structure of a temporary podium in Jalore yesterday, reports here said. Meanwhile, the state unit of BJP in a statement today charged that ruling Congress, worried over the success of Raje's yatra, was `stooping low' by abating disturbances in her meetings.
A Congress spokesman denied the charge saying internal bickering in the BJP state unit was causing such problems for Raje.
Raje had to abandon her public meeting in Jalore due to hooliganism and again faced similar reception later in her meeting in Pali town last night. Police had to intervene to maintain law and order, the reports added. Bureau Report
