India`s peace package reflective of yearning for Peace: Mir
Srinagar, Nov 01: Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Minister Ghulam Hassan Mir today said the latest peace package announced by India for opening the Srinagar-Muzaffarbad road and other confidence-building measures was reflective of the yearning of the people of the state for peace.
Srinagar, Nov 01: Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Minister Ghulam Hassan Mir today said the latest peace package announced by India for opening the Srinagar-Muzaffarbad road and other confidence-building measures was reflective of the yearning of the people of the state for peace.
"People want peace and misguided youth should eschew violence and come to negotiating table for redressal of their grievances," Mir said at a function in Anantnag yesterday.
Mir announced a sum of Rs 6 crore for upgrading civic amenities in Anantnag district of south Kashmir.
The minister announced construction of a community hall and development of a housing colony for slum dwellers under a central government project and said Rs.1.25 crore had been earmarked as subsidy for this purpose.
