Nanded, Nov 27: Curfew in Itwara locality of Nanded town was today relaxed with no fresh reports of arson being reported even as the district authorities and police were closely monitoring the law and order situation. "The situation is under control. There has been no report of any untoward incident", Tanaji Satre, district magistrate, said.

Curfew, that was relaxed from 5 am yesterday in view of Eid celebrations yesterday, was reimposed in the area after 11 pm as a precautionary measure. However, it was again relaxed this morning, he said. Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations in Itwara, which witnessed arson cases last Sunday leaving over 15 persons injured, passed off peacefully yesterday, he said.

Meanwhile, the police personnel continued to dot the sensitive areas and maintain a tight security to ensure a peaceful situation.
