Ranchi, June 29: Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda, who promised to distribute nearly 10,000 appointment letters to primary teachers on ‘hul divas’ tomorrow, has postponed the programme by at least by a month due to a "legal hitch". The decision was taken in view of the high court's scheduled hearing on July 22 of the PIL seeking age relaxation for the teachers, official sources said. Government would wait till the hearing as there might be some technical problems, Munda said here last night. Observers said if the government went ahead with its promise tomorrow, it could land itself in an awkward situation in case the court's verdict went in favour of the petitioners.
Incidentally, the high court has asked Jharkhand Public Service Commission for few clarifications which, the commission was in a process of providing, JPSC chairman F C Hembram said. Bureau Report
