New Delhi, Nov 03: A Delhi court is expected to pronounce the judgement in the Tandoor murder case today eight years after the murder of Congress worker Naina Sahni. A trial court will decide between the prosecution's claim of an open and shut case and the defence's plea that there are holes in the case.

Naina's husband and former Delhi Youth Congress president Sushil Sharma is accused of murdering her in conspiracy with his aide Keshav.

Three others - Jai Prakash Pehalwan, Rishi Raj Rathi and Ram Prakash Sachdeva - are accused of harbouring Sharma after the crime was committed on the intervening night of July 2-3, 1995.

Police had recovered the charred body of Naina from the tandoor at Sharma's Bagiya restaurant at Ashok Yatri Niwas in central Delhi.

While the restaurant manager Keshav was arrested on the spot, Sharma, who allegedly fled from the scene, was formally arrested in Bangalore on July 11, 1995.
The judgement in the case was reserved after the conclusion of the trial on August 28. The judgement, which was earlier fixed for October 29, was deferred. Bureau Report
