Iqbal pleaded that the police had not made out any case against him and urged for bail on the ground that MCOCA was not applicable to him.
Meanwhile, the court has remanded him and two others to to judicial custody till October 28.
Iqbal was arrested under MCOCA after he was deported from Dubai. He is facing the charges of channelising funds of the underworld into the real estate in Mumbai.
Iqbal and his associates had developed Sara Business Centre and Sahara Shopping Complex near police commissionerate in south Mumbai allegedly with the underworld money. These shopping complexes have been attached by the court in an interim measure.
