Daltonganj (Jharkhand), July 02: In stepped-up violence in Jharkhand, suspected naxalites shot dead three persons at Lutidih in the extremist-hit Chatra district, police said today. The ultras, suspected to be activists of the banned Maoist Communist Centre, yesterday raided the village under Simaria police station and forcibly took away three persons, police said. Bullet-riddled bodies of the three were later recovered on the outskirts of Lutidih. Raids were continuing in different places to apprehend the killers, police said.
On Monday, six persons, including two forest guards, were killed in MCC attacks in Latehar and Gumla districts of the state. Bureau Report
