Paris, Oct 08: French media firm Vivendi Universal and US conglomerate General Electric said on Wednesday they had signed an agreement for GE's NBC television unit to take over Vivendi Universal Entertainment. Shareholders in Vivendi Universal Entertainment, which groups the US entertainment assets of Vivendi, will receive $3.8 billion in cash as part of the deal.
The broad outlines of the agreement were unveiled last month. Bureau Report
