New Delhi, June 19: Allaying fears of the domestic ITeS industry in the face of US introducing legislations against outsourcing, Assocham on Wednesday said such a move would have a minimal to moderate impact on the industry in the short term.
However, the strategy paper prepared by Assocham said the proposed L-1 visa bill would restrict its use by Indian companies which is expected to severely affect the IT industry in the long term.

The survey also emphasised senior-level diplomatic talks to present India's viewpoint and called for intense lobbying so that the bills get defeated when introduced.
The survey revealed only a moderate 42 per cent on India making its case at the WTO.
