New Delhi, Dec 01: Expansion of Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet led by Mufti Mohammed Sayeed is likely to be undertaken after the Eid, a senior state minister said here today.
"Expansion will take place, may be after Eid. We will induct some more ministers including independent candidates," state finance minister Muzaffar Hussain Beigh, who is in the capital, said.
He said the independent candidates would be selected on the basis of their merit.
To a question about the composition of the "Ethisab" (accountability) bureau, Beigh said "the decision has been left to the Chief Justice of the state High Court. They have to suggest us the name of a retired judge after which rules of the bureau will be finalised."
To a question regarding the much-talked about economic package, the state finance minister said "we are drafting one where we have laid emphasis on various sectors."
