Pondicherry, May 17: A total of 2,006 candidates from Pondicherry and other places outside the union territory will appear for the All India Civil Service Examination tomorrow here, which is included as one of the centres for the test being held by the UPSC. A press release from director of education G Thevaneethi Dhas, who is the assistant coordinating supervisor for the examination, said UPSC official S K Sood was camping here to supervise the arrangements and the conduct of the test which would be held in four centres here. Arrangements for free bus travel of candidates from the local bus terminus to the examination centres in the morning and for return trip to the bus stand in the evening are also available. The government sponsored tourism development corporation would operate canteens at the exam centres. Bureau Report
