Chandigarh, July 04: Punjab Vigilance Bureau today searched three different properties owned by the family of the former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal in connection with the disproportionate assets case registered against him. Vigilance Bureau sources said here that searches were carried out in a petrol pump at Muktsar, a transport workshop at Dabwali and a building rented out to a bank in Killianwali, on the basis of search warrants issued by a Kharar court. A detailed assessment of the value of these properties would be made by technical experts later, they said. The bureau had already searched four properties in Punjab and Chandigarh which included a residential house and two showrooms in Chandigarh and a poultry farm near Kharar.
The Vigilance Bureau had secured warrants to search 16 properties in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi.
