New Delhi, Aug 08: The defence in the Tandoor murder case today told a city court that police had not disclosed to the airport authorities that it was carrying a revolver which was allegedly recovered from youth congress leader and prime accused Sushil Sharma after his arrest in Bangalore. Amicus Curiae P K Dham told Additional Sessions Judge G P Thareja that there was no mention in any record with the airport authorities that police was carrying a revolver with it when it brought Sharma from Bangalore. The counsel also denied police's claim that Sharma was at Pai Vihar hotel in Bangalore when arrested and said he was instead in Chennai. Dham said there were discrepancies regarding the time and place of recovery of Sharma's clothes from Gujarat Bhavan here. According to police, Sharma had allegedly sought shelter there after the incident.
The defence counsel also said Sharma's fingerprints were not found at Baghiya restaurant.

Meanwhile, the court took up an application filed by Hotel Queen Road Private Ltd seeking release of Ashok Yatri Nivas land. Police had recovered parts of the burnt body of Naina Sahni - wife of Sharma - from Baghiya open-air restaurant in Ashok Yatri Nivas here on the intervening night of July 2/3, 1995.
