Uttar Pradesh BJP president Kalraj Mishra on Friday said there was no question of dissolving the state assembly or holding early elections in the wake of en-masse resignation by Samajwadi Party, CPM and CPI MLAs. “Such acts are political stunts and will have no impact on the Rajnath Singh government,” he said.
Mishra said the move would help the state government save some money as the MLAs who had resigned would now be deprived of funds and other facilities. “The state government was committed to providing benefits of reservation to 'most backwards and most dalits' and the Cabinet's approval to social justice committee recommendations on Thursday was a step forward in this direction,” the BJP chief said.
