New Delhi, Oct 08: Samsung India on Wednesday announced the launch of a host of high-end products built on a new technology platform called Digital Natural Image Engine and said it hopes to double the current sales over the next three years. The company, which already has a manufacturing plant at Noida for several products, may put up its second plant in south India over the next two-three years, Managing Director C H Yoon said, adding at present the Noida plant was sufficient for demand in India.
Among the new launches announced today are eight flat panel models including plasma panels, LCD TVs and LCD Projection TV besides three new models of Plano Digital Flat TVs, Home Theatre models and camcorders.
"Our DNIe technology has taken centrestage in our display product strategy. At Samsung we believe DNIe has positioned us ahead of the demand curve and will be a factor in driving our business as LCD and Plasma TVs reach critical mass," Yoon told newspersons here.
He said the DNIe roadshow in India marks the launch of the biggest flat panel range in the country. DNIe is one of Samsung's most recent technological breakthroughs comprising a set of advanced image processing technologies that ensure enhanced contrast, detail, white tone and noise reduction for visual displays such as plasma and LCD projection TVs.
