India has been officially informed that President Pervez Musharraf will be accompanied by a 19-member delegation for his summit meeting with Prime Minister Vajpayee Foreign minister Abdul Sattar, foreign secretary Inamul Haque, Director General South Asia division Rasheed Salim Khan, foreign office spokesman Brigadier Rashid Qureshi, the President's military secretary, the secretary information, the chief of protocol, his deputy and a few key people of the foreign ministry comprise the delegation.
Expectedly the minister for commerce Abdul Razak Dawood will not be part of the team. This is an obvious signal by Pakistan that trade and other issues are secondary to the core issue of Kashmir "We are not conferring upon the LoC any other status other than the one which exists at present," external affairs ministry spokesperson told reporters on Tuesday, referring to the visa relaxations announced by India on Monday. "We have just established an administrative convenience for people on both sides," she said. She said no decision had been taken as yet on identifying the designated points along the international border and the Loc. The Indian proposals had been conveyed to Pakistan and its response was awaited she said. ``The process will be set in motion. It will depend on their (Pakistan's) response also,''she said.
