Opposition demand resignations of Digvijay Singh, Boudh
Opposition BJP members in the Madhya Pradesh assembly demanded resignations of state chief minister Digvijay Singh and home minister Mahendra Boudh for their alleged failure to tackle the dacoity menace in Gwalior and Chambal regions of the state.

The demand was raised during a discussion on adjournment motion to discuss the recent killing of four persons who were kidnapped by a dacoit gang.
The notice for the adjournment motion was given by Narendra Birthare (BJP) and 24 members of his party to which the chief minister agreed to discuss the matter.
Birthare said that the dacoit gang kidnapped five persons on July 23 and killed four of them on August 11 and left one of the kidnapped persons to intimate the news.

He said the dacoits had organised a meeting on June 9 at Karsena village demanding ransom of Rs five lakh and when they failed to get the amount, five persons were kidnapped even though police was informed about the threat.
