Mumbai, Nov 30: Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Ranjit Singh Sharma was today questioned by the Special Investigation Team in connection with the multi-crore fake stamp paper scam.
The fourth round of interrogation of Sharma, who is to retire today, was related to fresh developments in the scam, SIT sources said here.
The former police chief failed to turn up for questioning yesterday citing personal reasons.
The SIT had informed the Mumbai High Court on November 27 that it intended to summon Sharma for questioning in the wake of fresh developments.
Sharma had been called thrice before for questioning by the SIT at its Worli office.
