Jaipur, Sept 27: A six-member Central team will visit the Kota Thermal Power Station today to inspect the four bunkers which collapsed on Thursday claiming four lives, official sources said. The team, headed by member, thermal, R K Jain, in the Union power ministry and comprising officials of the Central Electricity Authority, NTPC and BHEL, would survey the collapsed bunkers in the sixth unit which had been inaugurated early this month, chairman and managing director of State Power Generation Corporation, R Gupta, said. The team was visiting on the request of the state government, Gupta, who is supervising rescue operation at the site, said. As per the attendance register, four labourers were missing since the tragedy occurred, he said adding there were no chances of their coming out alive from under thousands of tonnes of coal debris.
All attempts were being made to contain the "cascading effect" that may damage the existing unit structure made of precious steel, he added. Bureau Report
