Seoul, June4: France playmaker Zinedine Zidane and midfielder Youri Djorkaeff have undergone medical tests in a Seoul hospital. Both remain doubtful for the team`s World Cup Group A match against Uruguay on Thursday.
"They went to the hospital this afternoon. They will have examinations today," said French team spokesman Philippe Tournon.
Zidane, who missed the world champions` shock 1-0 defeat by Senegal in the tournament`s opening match on Friday, is recovering from a torn thigh muscle suffered during a warm-up match against South Korea on 26 May.
Djorkaeff is nursing a painful groin and has only been able to take part in light training sessions since being substituted during the second half of the Senegal match.
Zidane kicked a ball for the first time since tearing a muscle in his thigh on Monday but coach Roger Lemerre has said it would be "astonishing" if the world`s most expensive player was fit to play against Uruguay.
During the training session, Zidane managed a gentle jog - wearing strapping on the damaged left thigh - and was seen to exchange a few passes with the team`s physiotherapist.
