Chennai, Aug 10: Various documents, pamphlets, video and audio cassettes, seized from the residences of MDMK leader and MP, Vaiko, his party colleagues and the Tamil National Movement leader, P Nedumaran, all Pota detenues, during raids two days ago, had been placed before the Pota court at suburban Poonamalee, official sources said.

The sources said as per Pota provisions, "the seized documents by the investigating officers will have to be produced before the court. That has been done now."
The raids were conducted on August 8 by the 'Q' branch police, who were looking for possible evidence linking them to the banned LTTE. While Vaiko and his party colleagues were arrested on July 11 for making pro-LTTE speeches at a public meeting on June 29 at Thirumangalam, near Madurai, Nedumaran was picked up from his house in Mylapore in the city on August 1 for convening a conference in support of LTTE on April 13 last.
