New Delhi, Apr 14: Stung by the filing of cases against Samajwadi Party leaders, its general secretary Amar Singh today accused Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani of being behind the "conspiracy" and lashed out at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati. Addressing a press conference here, Singh also alleged that Mayawati had "hired" criminals "freed from Aligarh prison" to eliminate him and Mulayam's son Akhilesh Singh and stated that he had informed Advani in writing about the threat a few days back. Hours after Mayawati addressed a 'Pardafash' rally in Lucknow and announced filing of 137 cases against, the SP leader spewed venom at Mayawati, calling her government as "the most corrupt and fascist." "The conspiracy has been hatched during the recent meetings Mayawati has had with Vajpayee and Advani here," Singh charged, quipping "without the permission of collector, Patwari cannot do anything."
