New Delhi, June 08: Describing the Congress demand for resignation of Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani in the wake of the statement of five kar sewaks that they pulled down the disputed structure at Ayodhya at his instigation, as "irresponsible", BJP president Venkiah Naidu today ruled out
resignation of any minister in this context.
"The people who have made these allegation have no basics, they have no information with them and if they had any information, they should have placed it before the Liberhan Commission. They have not done it", Naidu said.
He said it is all the more irresponsible on the part of the Congress party to make an absurd demand of the resignation of the DPM and other ministers.
"There is no question of any minister resigning, there is no rationale for it and there is no question of using government influence for it. If at all the government wanted to interfere in the process of investigation or the Rule of Law, it would have withdrawn the cases, like it was done during the Indira Gandhi regime", he said.
