Batala, Aug 10: As many as 93 samples of milk were collected from different parts of Punjab by the health department during a 48 hour drive launched against synthetic milk which concluded this evening. Ashwani Sekhri, Minister for Health and Family Welfare , said that following reports that synthetic milk is being sold in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi and Punjab, the Punjab government has decided to constitute various teams to conduct raids on milk plants including cooperative milk plants.
He said the campaign against synthetic milk was launched on Friday and it concluded this evening.
The collected samples have been sent to the laboratories in Delhi and Punjab.
He said the government would not allow sale of synthetic milk in the state.
