Srinagar, June 28: President A P J Abdul Kalam today urged the youth to play an important role in making India A developed nation.
Interacting with students at Delhi Public School here, Kalam advised them to work hard and make the country strong.
Counseling them to aim high, the President made the students in the auditorium to sing what he called the song of youth "dream, dream, dream, transform into task, task results into action." In this song, he made a point that to aim small is a crime for citizen of the developing India.
"If you aim small, you will work little and if you aim high you will put in strenuous effort to achieve it," he told the students. Advising them to shun the defeatist state of mind, the President said, "Students must ask for themselves what I can do rather what I can`t do."
"They must overcome negative attitude and cheer up as they belong to a great nation," he said.
