New Delhi, Oct 07: Centre has agreed to expeditiously establish two Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in Kashmir and Jammu to give a fillip to the state's exports. This assurance was given by Union Commerce Minister Arun Jaitley to the state chief minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed during a meeting.

The Chief Minister sought an early sanctioning of this project under which infrastructure would be created for export oriented industrial units.

The project involves investment of Rs 132 crore.
This project envisages concession of central taxes on units to facilitate exports.

The proposed SEZs would be set up at Ompura in Kashmir and Kartholi in Jammu.
