Hyderabad, Jan 28: Iranian President Syed Mohammad Khatami arrived here yesterday night, on a brief visit to the city, during which he will have a luncheon meeting with Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

The state governor Surjeet Singh Barnala, Union Minister of State for Railways Bandaru Dattatreya, Andhra Pradesh home minister T Devender Goud and top officials received Khatami at Begumpet airport on his arrival by a special aircraft.
Khatami accompanied by 110 member delegation will visit ‘Hi-Tec’ City, a new icon of IT-savvy state, at 10 am today where he will witness a presentation on the IT-initiatives of AP government. The visiting dignitary will then proceed by road to the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), a premier CSIR Research Institute.
The Chief Minister, who is scheduled to arrive here today morning from Davos where he is attending the World Economic Forum meeting, will call on Khatami at Taj Krishna Hotel and escort him to Raj Bhavan for a luncheon meeting.

Khatami will visit Iran consulate office at 2.30 pm and spend about an hour interacting with officials there before leaving for Tehran.
