Amritsar, Oct 08: All India Hindu Shiv Sena president, Surinder Kumar Billa, today expressed his grave anguish at the decision of the Pakistan High Commission office of New Delhi not to grant visas to a group of Hindu pilgrims wishing to visit Pakistan to pay obeisance at various Hindu temples in that country.
Billa told reporters that for the first time after 1997, the Ministry of External Affairs had permitted 50 Hindu pilgrims to visit Pakistan to visit various places to observe
the 296th birth anniversary of Saint Sharda Ram.
He said that the jatha of Hindu pilgrims was scheduled to leave on October 6 but could not do so as it did not get the necessary visas from the Pakistan High Commission office. Billa said that the pilgrims waited for three days for the visas outside the Pakistan High Commission office after which they disbursed to their native places. Bureau Report
