M&M Sept sale jumps 48%, H1 sales up 41.4%
New Delhi, Oct 04: Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) on Friday reported a 48 per cent rise in domestic vehicle sales in September on the back of good demand for utility vehicles and three-wheelers.
On expectations of an increase in revenues by 17.4 per cent, the CGM said BSNL expects to post Rs 2,650 crore from basic services during the fiscal, compared to Rs 2,474 crore registered in the last fiscal. The country's largest utility vehicle and tractor maker sold 10,199 vehicles during the month against 6,890 units a year ago, an M&M spokesperson said.
For the first six months this fiscal, sales grew by 41.4 per cent to 50,967 vehicles.
Sale of utility vehicles in September went up by 48 per cent year-on- year to 8,149 units, with the popular model 'Scorpio' recording a 84.7 per cent growth at 2,300 units.
Three-wheelers posted a 79.7 per cent rise at 1,515 units but sales of light commercial vehicles remained flat at 535 units during the month under review.
