Bhilai, Nov 29: Terming the Indo-Pak ceasefire as a positive development, Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani today said the neighbouring country, at the same time, should take steps to stop infiltration from across the border. Pakistan's truce offer was a good sign but it should also take steps to stop infiltration into India, Advani told an election rally here on the last leg of his electioneering in Chhattisgarh.
Asserting the Vajpayee government had adopted a tough stand to deal with the scourge of terrorism, he said so far 183 ISI modules had been destroyed by security agencies in the last four years.
Accusing the Congress of double speak on the issue of graft, Advani said the party's allegation that six Union ministers had milked PSUs would boomerang on it.
Recalling that he resigned when his name figured in the Hawala scam, the DPM said Dilip Singh Judeo also resigned as Union minister in the wake of cash-on-camera controversy.
He said in the past five decades of congress rule, so many ministers were named in corruption cases but nobody resigned.
Advani said BJP would come to power in the next general elections because of its good governance. Bureau Report
