Jamshedpur, May 29: Tata Iron & Steel Company Ltd (Tisco) has registered a 283 per cent growth in its fourth quarter net profit to Rs 469.08 crore as compared to Rs 122.47 crore during the corresponding quarter last year.
Its total income has increased by 37.86 per cent to Rs 2677.74 crore from Rs 1942.36 crore.

The company has posted a net profit growth of 394 per cent to Rs 1012.31 crore for the full fiscal ended March 31, 2003, as compared to Rs 204.90 crore registered during the previous fiscal.
Total income has increased to Rs 8771.71 crore in the year ended March 31, 2003, from Rs. 6783.12 crore in the FY-02.
On a consolidated basis, the group has posted a net profit of Rs 1021.77 crore for the year ended March 2003, as compared to Rs 193.57 crore during the previous fiscal. Bureau Report
