Mumbai, Sept 05: Pulling up police for failing to file a chargesheet within the stipulated timeframe, a local court has released on bail an alleged Dawood Ibrahim gangster who was deported from Dubai recently. Riyaz Ahmed Siddiqui was enlarged on bail yesterday as police failed to chargesheet him in a double murder case within 90 days of his arrest.

Magistrate R D Ghate granted him bail in the sum of Rs 25,000 cash. Riyaz was arrested on May 29 upon his deportation from Dubai.

He is charged with conspiracy to commit double murder on Hill Road in suburban Bandra on November 4, 1996, police said.
He is facing the charge of killing Noorul Haq Ansari and his son Nasrool Ansari over a property dispute.

After committing the crime, Riyaz allegedly escaped to Dubai and was helping Dawood Ibrahim's brother Noora in underworld activities, police added.
