Ayodhya, July 17: Ruling out more negotiation on Ayodhya, Mathura and Kashi shrines, VHP today said it would launch a nationwide mass movement if the Centre failed to enact a legislation to handover the acquired land in Ayodhya to Hindus for construction of a Ram Temple.
"All doors for a dialogue are closed. The meeting of Ayodhya Sant Margdarshak Mandal has unanimously decided that there will be no more negotiations on the Ayodhya, Mathura and Kashi shrines," VHP international president Ashok Singhal told reporters here.
"Hindus are not ready for any kind of compromise on the three shrines," he said, adding that the saints who attended the meeting have advised the Muslims to withdraw their claim on the three shrines. The Sri Ram Temple Uchchadhikaar Samiti meeting to be held on September 13 would decide on the future course of action of the temple movement, Singhal said. The venue of the meeting would be decided later. The previous meeting of the samiti in New Delhi had decided to constitute a five-member action committee to take a decision on the urgent issues pertaining to the temple movement, he added.
