Kerala to host All Lights India International Film Festival
Kerala will play host to the All Lights India International Film Festival (ALIIFF) 2015 and Indywood Film Market (IFM) at Kochi from November 15 to 21.
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala will play host to the All Lights India International Film Festival (ALIIFF) 2015 and Indywood Film Market (IFM) at Kochi from November 15 to 21.
ALIIFF 2015 is a unique platform for the global film industry to portray excellence in film making, and interact with artistes and technicians of world cinema, according to the organisers.
Another highlight would be hosting the IFM, platform for South Asia's largest Film Market, which will facilitate production and distribution deals of international films in the Indian market and sales of Indian Cinema to the international market.
The event is being organised by All Lights Film Services, India's leading film services organisation, promoted by All Lights Film Magazine.
Indywood Film Market comprises exhibitions, where buying and selling of international films, devices or services become flexible under a single roof, the organisers said here in a release today.
The market will also provide facilties for screening of films, viewing rooms, industry forums, panel discussion and screening conferences, it said.
IFM will act as the focus of business for commercial cinema establishing as India's biggest film market.
ALIIFF 2015 would alos include a special film festival for students to encourage future film makers, it said.
Submissions of films to ALIIFF has already opened and different categories of films from around the globe until Oct 30 at www.Aliiff.Com . Short films, documentaries as well as features will be accepted as entries.
Golden Leaf awards will be presented to winners in the categories of feature film, director, people choice, Indywood film, 3D film, animated feature film, short film, documentary and debut director during the festival.
The festival will also showcase Cinema for Life and Cinema for Care.
'DAM 999' director Sohan Roy, who is also founder Director of ALIIFF and IFM,said ALIIFF 2015 would have leading artistes and technicians of international repute attending the festival.
"The Indywood Film Market offers a wide opportunity for filmmakers and sponsors to become a part of South Asia's biggest film souk where sales and promotions of international and Indian cinemas will be made simple," he added.
