According to the company's artistic director, Marc Jacobs, it was decided to drop J.Lo because the brand needed a new concept for the spring/summer season.
"It felt a little bit like old times - that supermodel outing thing," he told New York magazine.
The new ads were shot in the Dubai desert last month, with each supermodel representing a different category: ready-to-wear, jewellery, shoes and accessories.
"They really look like desert goddesses and they really got into it. It's very iconic: gorgeous, rich and luxurious," added Jacobs.
