Kasaragod, Sept 18: The Kerala government would implement ten irrigation projects in Kasaragod district within three years, state irrigation minister T M Jocob said today. The first phase of the Rs 57-crore project would be completed by the end of 2005 while the second phase would be over by 2006, Jacob, who was here to inaugurate the rain water reservoir at the nearby Bedadukka, told reporters here.

The government also has plans to initiate a 12.5-crore project to resolve the drinking water scarcity in Kasaragod town, he said adding the project would be completed with the help of Hudco and LIC. Bureau Report
