Mayawati persecuting dissident MLAs: Raja Bhaiya
Lucknow, Nov 03: Leader of independent MLAs, Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya, arrested on charges of threatening BJP legislator Puran Singh Bundela, today accused Mayawati government of `persecuting` dissident legislators to prevent them from opposing her government.

threatening BJP legislator Puran Singh Bundela, today accused Mayawati government of "persecuting" dissident legislators to prevent them from opposing her government.
Raja Bhaiya told a news agency by telephone from cantonment police station that the ruling coalition was resorting to such tactics to save itself from imminent collapse. He said the chief minister should realise that her government could not survive by such tactics.
The independent MLA said Bundela was a "respected" legislator and he could no even think of threatening him. Raja Bhaiya said it was Bundela, who had a few days back, expressed his loyalty to SP leader Amar Singh.
