Mumbai, June 06: Strongly opposing the proposed conditional access system (CAS), the Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray today said the government would have to "pay a heavy price" for its decision to force the people to buy set top boxes priced at Rs 6000. "Government cannot force such a thing. The decision will cause losses to middle class and Sena will oppose this decision," Thackeray told reporters at his suburban Bandra residence 'Matoshree'. He alleged that "a London-based business magnate has struck a deal with the government and they want to dump their set top boxes in India." The government has not consulted its allies before taking the decision to implement the CAS, Thackeray alleged. Bureau Report
