Jammu, Feb 21: With the arrest of three Pakistani terrorists of Lashkar-e-Toiba here, the Jammu and Kashmir police today claimed to have foiled the outfit's plan to carry out a fidayeen attack at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport.
"We have foiled a plan of LeT to engineer a fidayeen attack at the Indira Gandhi International Airport at New Delhi by arresting three LeT ultras from Poonch last night," Director General of Police Gopal Sharma told reporters here.
"The LeT ultras from Pakistan were identified as Assadullah alias Abudilal of Gujranwala town, Mohd Bashir alias Abu Mariah and Rashid alia Abu Kasha both residents of Karachi," he said.
They were entrusted to carry out the attack at the airport by a top LeT commander Abu Salem who had allegedly engineered the attack on Jammu Railwaay Station on January 2 in which six persons were killed.
Police recovered AK-56 rifles, 12 hand grenades, 12 AK magazine, 480 rounds, the DGP said.
